Secondary School Vision Statement
Our vision is to be a community of internationally minded thinkers who acquire knowledge and understanding via inquiry and reflection, who lead balanced lives and care for others, who listen with open minds and take risks while maintaining principles, and who communicate and collaborate effectively.
Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) has set the standard of excellence and rigor for all international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. Schools must be authorized, by the IB organization, to offer any of the programmes. Our program not only offers children a superior K-12 experience, it also motivates students to be global citizens through International Baccalaureate participation and becoming an IB Diploma Candidate. Our students learn to become global thinkers through our International Baccalaureate experience in which high school students participate. Junior and senior year. Our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme ensures that our students are “Thinkers, Problem Solvers, Reflective, Balanced, Risk Takers, Principled, Communicators, Open Minded, Caring, Inquirers.”
Transferable Skills
Transferable skills are qualities that can be transferred from one job to another. They play a pivotal role in successful recruitment and professional achievement in today’s workplace. These include, communication, courtesy, flexibility, and interpersonal skills. These skills are embedded in language learning, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly both in spoken and written form. Communication, as one of the learner profile attributes, is a skill that is very much at the heart of the IB. Knowing a language isn’t a guarantee of good communication skills, but it is the first building block. If we can communicate well in one language, there is no reason why we should not be able to develop this ability in all our other languages.

Language Acquisition
The IB diploma requires at least two years of exposure to a second language. The language goal is for a student to be conversant in another language upon completion. This video explains the philosophy and approach to the listening component of this requirement.
How does IB prepare students for their future careers?
Being an IB student will better ensure college acceptance at the best schools nationally and internationally. Our IB students have superior academic achievement and skills including being bilingual, service-oriented and well rounded. A recent study was conducted by IBO to determine how effectively the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career Programme (CP) are preparing students for the skills they are likely to need in their future careers. EDUPRIZE MISSION STATEMENT
The EDUPRIZE mission is to provide educational excellence to our community of learners through the use of project-based, multiple modality instruction, and a strong differentiated curriculum. Students will exceed grade level standards and grow to be the global citizens in an academically rigorous environment where both leadership and collaboration are stressed. Students will acquire depth of knowledge and problem-solving skills through our interdisciplinary, thematic approach to applied learning. Students will excel in the Arts, and expand their minds through the use of innovative technologies and our science-based instruction. Through our Socratic method and 100% engagement, students will become effective communicators and leaders empowered to establish a sense of community, service to others, and a love of learning.
