7th & 8th Grade
In seventh grade, students are assigned to classroom cohorts with base teachers who specialize in Language Arts/Social Studies and Math/Science. In eighth grade, students rotate through classes with various specialized teachers. Seventh and eighth grade students have physical education daily and select one elective such as theatre arts, band, visual arts, foreign language, etc.
Our approach
Students participate in “History Alive” American History Series, Literacy in History & Social Studies, iCivics for Social Studies, Biological Sciences through the Prentice Hall Curriculum, Algebra and pre-algebraic mathematics through Carnegie Math, and a powerful MyPerspectives language arts program. Various clubs are offered year-round and competitive sports are offered seasonally. Honors placement and NJHS are available also in grades 7 and 8.
