Rigorous science-based program
EDUPRIZE was awarded “The Best Science School” by -Phoenix Magazine. Our science-based and technology-infused cottages provide opportunities for children to apply mathematics, language arts and social studies in a hands-on, project based curriculum.
Our students love the sciences and the motivation of our students is obvious when you visit our school. In addition to using research based, award winning language arts and mathematics curriculum our students have a variety of project-based science extensions in which they can solidify basic skills through:
- Science specials that enhance the cottage focus
- High powered microscopy, dissections and three-dimensional modeling
- Annual science fairs
- Field experiences with examples such as U of A Science Center, Legoland Discovery Center, Kartchner Caverns, etc, depending on the child’s grade
- Live Learning Labs
- Hands-on inquiry-based learning
Technology-infused curriculum
EDUPRIZE was awarded and acknowledged as “the innovative school” for its use of technology and applied sciences across its campuses.

Cottages are an EDUPRIZE original
These quarterly, thematic focuses allow students to learn and apply basic skills through a hands-on, science-based program. Cross curricular instruction ensures that students can transfer knowledge to new and applied content areas and allow students to be actively engaged in their learning. Our “Cottages” offer multiple modality, 9 week units in Life Science, Physical Science, Social Science, and Earth Science.
Kindergarten
All About Me

Celebrations
Social Science
Students will understand their roles and responsibilities as citizens within their own context as well as their own culture.
Habitats
Earth and Space Science
Students explore weather patterns and seasonal cycles and how they impact plants and animals in their habitats.
Life Cycles
Life Science
Students develop an understanding of how plants & animals survive and that the world is comprised of living and non-living things.
1st Grade
Wavelength Arcade
Physical Science
Students develop an understanding of the effects of forces and waves, and how they can impact or be impacted by objects near and far away.
Plymouth Plantation
Social Science
Students develop an understanding of how a community functions, including their local community, and how each member contributes to the common good.
Resource Resort
Earth and Space Science

Bird House
Life Science
Students develop an understanding that Earth supports a large variety of organisms and their survival depends on earth resources.
2nd Grade
Sweet Shop
Physical Science
Students develop an understanding of observable properties of matter and how changes in energy (heating or cooling) can affect matter or materials.
Global Exchange
Social Science
Students develop an understanding of the world around them gaining insight on how other cultures and civilizations have influenced who we are as a community, state, and Nation.
Weather Station
Earth and Space Science
Students develop an understanding of the role of water and wind in weather and its environmental impact. They study changing patterns in the sky with the position of the Sun, Moon, and stars.
Dinosaur Dig
Life Science
Students develop an understanding that life on Earth depends on energy from the Sun or energy from other organisms to survive.
3rd Grade
Illumination Station
Physical Science
Students develop an understanding of the sources, properties, and characteristics of energy along with the relationship between energy transfer and the human body.
Plant Nursery
Life Science
Students develop an understanding of the flow of energy in a system beginning with the Sun to and among organisms. They also understand what plants and animals do to increase survival.
Desert Lab
Earth and Space Science
Students develop an understanding of how the Sun provides light and energy for Earth systems.
Arizona Highways
Social Science
Students will study Arizona focusing on: contributions of various cultural/ethnic groups; economic, political, and geographic elements; structure of governments; roles of citizens of Arizona.
4th Grade
Energy Lab
