GILBERT-Project Exploration 2019-2020 (5th and 6th Grade Students Only)
We are excited to announce that we have scheduled an innovations trip with Project Exploration on February 14-16, 2020. The bus will leave on Friday afternoon around 3:00-3:30 p.m. and return on Sunday evening around 8:00 p.m.
We are headed to the LA area of California. Throughout the weekend, we will visit the Pasadena Art Center, Universal Studios, and the California Science Center. Plus, students will share incredible experiences with old and new friends!
Our desire is to provide a safe and positive experience for your child. Past experience has brought us to the current process for accepting applications for this wonderful trip. Students with the following qualities will be selected to participate in this exciting adventure:
*Outstanding citizenship in classrooms and on school grounds
*Positive attitude towards teachers and classmates
*Demonstrates quality listening skills and the ability to follow directions the first time
*Displays an appropriate sense of maturity and responsibility on a daily basis
Please attend on of the parent meetings for more information and applications. Once your child has an application, please follow the directions given on the front attached letter to the application packet. The application (with non-refundable deposit payment made online) are due no later than Friday, August 16, 2019. Applications should be turned into Ms. Gorman in building 2, room 92 in the crate outside her door.
Parent Informational Meetings – Both Meetings 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Theater of Building 3 :
- July 31 st – New to Project Exploration – MANDATORY (have never had a child attend the trip)
- August 1 st – “Seasoned” Parent Meeting (have had a child attend the trip)
**Non-refundable deposit ($40) – ONLY accepted online – Will be opened on August 2nd and closed at midnight on August 16th.
**Application Packet (due no later than August 16th) – to be filled out by all potential candidates and turned in to Ms. Gorman (building 2 room 92). Packets are available at the Parent Informational Meetings, or can be picked up from Ms. Gorman (Rm 92) starting July 31st and ending August 2nd. Please fill out all forms in the packet:

Please understand that the prices given on the trip description letter are estimates. Please quote costs of trips on description letters as “estimates” only.
